It can be used as both pre-emergency treatment and earlier post-emergency treatment to control most broad-leaved weeds and grass from maize fields.

Direction for use

It is used as a pre-emergency treatment herbicide for maize farms:

  • For sandy soil, a dose of MAGUGUMA at 100 – 150 ml in 16 It water, 15 sprayers to cover 1 hectare, or, 1. 5 – 2.0 It per hectare.
  • For clay soil, and loam soil, a dose of MAGUGUMA at 150 – 200ml in 16 It water, 15 sprayers to cover 1 hectare, or, 2.0 – 3.0 It per hectare. MAGUGUMA is used as an earlier post-selective herbicide for maize farms:
  • Between 1 – 2 weeks after maize seeds germinate, a dose of MAGUGUMA at 75 – 100 ml in 16 lt sprayer, or, 1.2 – 1.5lt per hectare.
  • Between 3 – 4 weeks after maize seeds germinate, a dose of MAGUGUMA at 150 – 200 ml in 16 lt sprayer, 15 sprayers to cover 1 hectare, or, 2. 5 – 3. 0 lt per hectare.

Precautions

  1. Wash sprayer well before put MAGUGUMA, to avoid the residue strong herbicide remaining inside sprayer, including pipeline, nozzle, to disturb the spraying on plants;
  2. Only spray MAGUGUMA while it’s sunshine day, avoid rain to wash away MAGUGUMA from the leaves of weeds and grass, making the spraying a failure;
  3. Spray MAGUGUMA slowly and evenly, to touch with weeds and grass well.
  4. Make a small area test for MAGUGUMA, to check if MAGUGUMA is safe to crops, before going to large scale use.
