Potasun 50 EC is a selective earlier post-emergence herbicide for the control of annual and perennial grasses and broad-leaf weeds in cassava, Irish potato, yam, and tomato.

Direction of use:

POTASUN is the very earlier post-selective herbicide for tomato, pepper, okra, eggplant, cassava, yam, and Irish potato, Farmers shall spray POTASUN at a very early stage.

Between 2-3 weeks after transplanting the seedling, planting seeds, and planting stem, a dose of POTASUN at 100-150 ml in 16Lt sprayer, 18-20 sprayers to cover 1 hectare, namely, 1.8-3.0Lts per hectare, depending on the size of new germinated broad-leaved weeds and grass available from the farm;

Between 3-4 weeks after planting, a dose of POTASUN at 150-200 ml in 16Lts sprayer, 18-20 sprayers to cover 1 hectare, namely, 2. 5-4. 0Lts per hectare.

After 4 weeks, don’t spray POTASUN, as POTASUN can’t kill much bigger new germinated broad-leaved weeds and grass on the farm.

Precautions:

  1. Wash the sprayer well before putting POTASUN, to aid the residue of strong herbicide remaining inside the sprayer including the pipeline, and nozzle, to disturb the spraying on plants;
  2. Only spray POTASUN while it’s a sunshine day, avoid spraying POTASUN while it’s a cloudy or rainy day, rainfall will wash away POTASUN from the leaves of weeds and grass, making the spraying a failure.
  3. Spray POTASUN slowly and evenly, to touch with weeds and grass well.
  4. Make a small area test for POTASUN, to check if POTASUN is safe for crops, before going to large-scale use.
  5. When spraying POTASUN, avoid spraying POTASUN on top of young shots, or young leaves of plants, put the nozzle down, just Spray POTASUN directly on weeds and grass.
