Description

Tomkill V – Broad-Spectrum Antimicrobial for Animal Health

Tomkill V is a broad-spectrum veterinary antimicrobial designed to help control infections caused by a range of susceptible microorganisms affecting animals. Its antimicrobial activity covers Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacteria, fungi, and Mycoplasma, making it a versatile option for managing infectious challenges in livestock and poultry production.

Infectious diseases can have a serious effect on animal health and farm profitability. Bacterial, fungal, and Mycoplasma infections may cause poor appetite, reduced growth, respiratory problems, production losses, and increased mortality when they are not properly managed. Timely diagnosis and appropriate treatment are therefore essential components of a successful animal health programme.

Broad-Spectrum Antimicrobial Activity

Tomkill V provides activity against several important groups of microorganisms. These include Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, as well as Mycoplasma and fungi.

Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria can be responsible for numerous infections affecting different body systems. Mycoplasma is also associated with important respiratory and other infectious conditions in poultry and livestock. Fungal infections can further compromise animal health, particularly where hygiene and environmental conditions favour fungal growth.

By targeting susceptible microorganisms, Tomkill V can form part of a comprehensive veterinary disease-control programme.

Supports Animal Health and Farm Productivity

Disease outbreaks can reduce feed intake, growth rate, egg production, milk production, and overall animal performance. Effective management of susceptible infections helps animals maintain normal physiological functions and return to productive condition.

Keeping animals healthy also helps farmers reduce preventable losses and maintain more consistent farm performance.

Versatile Antimicrobial Support

Tomkill V is suitable for use as part of a veterinary-managed approach to infectious disease control. Before treatment, farmers should identify the likely cause of infection and use antimicrobial products responsibly. Correct diagnosis is important because not every illness is caused by bacteria, fungi, or Mycoplasma, and antimicrobial treatment should not replace proper veterinary assessment.
