LEVANOR 200MG WSP® anthelmintic action on gastrointestinal nematodes, lungworms, and dogs dioctophymosis heartworm, on cattle, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, and poultry is very effective.
It can also be used to assist in the treatment of immunocompromised animals and improve the immune effect of the vaccine.
INDICATIONS
LEVANOR 200MG WSP® anthelmintic action on gastrointestinal nematodes, lungworms, and dogs dioctophymosis heartworm, on cattle, sheep, goats, dogs, cats, and poultry is very effective.
It can also be used to assist in the treatment of immunocompromised animals and improve the immune effect of the vaccine.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Calculated on levamisole hydrochloride.
- Cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs: 7.5mg/kg body weight during 1 day
- Dogs and cats: 10 mg/kg body weight during 1 day.
- Poultry: 1g to 2 litres of drinking water during 1 day.
It can be mixed with feed and must be used immediately; medicated drinking water should be used within 24hrs.
CONTRAINDICATION:
Use cautiously in animals with high heartworm microfilaria burdens. Reactions are possible from the heavy kill rate of microfilaria.
SPECIAL WARNINGS
Use cautiously on horse and do not use in camel. When an animal is extremely weak or has significant kidney damage, due to cattle’s low immune, dehorning, castration, and other stress occurs, it should be used with caution or delay use. Moreover, do not administer with Morantel, Pyrantel, and Organophosphorus.
PHARMACOLOGICAL ACTIONS:
Levamisole is an antiparasitic drug of the imidazothiazole class. It eliminates a variety of parasites via neuromuscular toxicity. Levamisole has an immune restorative effect in animals, but the mechanism of action on the immune system is unknown. It may activate and stimulate the proliferation of T-cells; augment monocyte activation; and stimulate macrophages, including phagocytosis and chemotaxis. It may increase neutrophil mobility. However, it is not cytotoxic to neutrophils or immune cells.

- Cattle, sheep, goats: Meat: 10 days
- Milk: 4 days
- Pigs: Meat: 10 days.
- Dogs, Cats: None.
- Poultry: Chicken: 10 days
- Eggs: 5 days
