Description
Indications
-Gastrointestinal nematodes, including Ascaridia spp., Capillaria spp. and threadworms (Strongyloides spp.), eye worms, and lungworms.
-Ectoparasites like ticks, lice, mites, and nasal bots in sheep and goats, cutaneous myiasis, and demodectic mange.
Dosage and Administration
Poultry
Internal Parasites and External Parasites
(0.4 mg Ivermectin per kg body weight) 1 ml Avertin Oral Solution per 5 kg body weight
(Treat for two consecutive days in cases of External Parasites)
The treatment may be repeated if needed after 15 days
To ensure total consumption of medication, restrict drinking water to birds two hours before medication. Mix the required volume of Avertin Oral Solution in one-fourth part of the total water consumed by the birds in a day and allow to drink. Administer the medication preferably in the morning.
Livestock
1 ml per 50 kg body weight or as advised by the Consultant Veterinarian
Withdrawal Period:
Withdrawal Period for meat is 28 days. Ivermectin is not allowed for use with cattle producing milk for human consumption. Withdrawal period for dairy cows is 28 days prior to calving.
