Description

Five DHT – Doxycycline & Tylosin Tartrate Antibiotic

Five DHT is a veterinary antibiotic formulated with a combination of doxycycline and tylosin tartrate. This combination is designed to provide antimicrobial support for the management of susceptible bacterial infections affecting the respiratory and digestive systems of poultry and livestock.

Respiratory and digestive diseases can have a major impact on animal health and farm productivity. Conditions such as pneumonia and severe diarrhoea can lead to reduced feed intake, poor growth, dehydration, weakness, and production losses. Enzootic pneumonia can also spread through susceptible groups and cause persistent respiratory problems.

Supports Respiratory Disease Management

Five DHT is specifically indicated for enzootic pneumonia and pneumonia in poultry and livestock. Respiratory infections can cause coughing, difficulty breathing, nasal discharge, reduced appetite, poor growth, and general weakness.

Doxycycline and tylosin tartrate provide complementary antibacterial activity against susceptible organisms associated with respiratory disease. Appropriate treatment can help manage bacterial infections and support affected animals during recovery.

Helps Manage Severe Diarrhoea

Five DHT is also indicated for severe diarrhoea in poultry and livestock. Diarrhoea can result in significant fluid and electrolyte losses and may quickly affect the condition and performance of farm animals.

Where bacterial infection is identified or strongly suspected as the cause, appropriate antimicrobial treatment can form part of a broader disease-management programme alongside adequate hydration, nutrition, hygiene, and veterinary care.

Doxycycline and Tylosin Combination

The combination of doxycycline and tylosin tartrate gives Five DHT activity against susceptible microorganisms associated with certain respiratory and digestive infections. Using the product appropriately is important because not every case of pneumonia or diarrhoea is bacterial in origin.

Veterinary diagnosis and responsible antimicrobial use can help improve treatment outcomes and reduce unnecessary antibiotic exposure.
