Description
Annymazene Plus – Diminazene Aceturate for Livestock
Annymazene Plus is a veterinary antiprotozoal medicine containing Diminazene Aceturate. It is indicated for use in cattle, sheep, and goats for the treatment of trypanosomiasis and babesiosis.
Protozoal diseases such as trypanosomiasis and babesiosis can cause significant health problems in livestock. They may result in fever, weakness, reduced appetite, anaemia, weight loss, reduced productivity, and, in severe cases, death. Early recognition and appropriate veterinary treatment are therefore important for protecting livestock and reducing production losses.
Treatment of Trypanosomiasis
Annymazene Plus is indicated for the treatment of trypanosomiasis, a parasitic disease caused by Trypanosoma species. The disease can affect cattle, sheep, and goats and may lead to progressive weakness, poor body condition, anaemia, and reduced production.
Effective management of trypanosomiasis is particularly important in areas where the disease and its vectors are prevalent. Treatment should form part of a wider livestock health programme that may include vector control, proper nutrition, animal monitoring, and veterinary management.
Treatment of Babesiosis
Annymazene Plus is also indicated for the treatment of babesiosis, a tick-associated protozoal disease affecting livestock. Babesiosis can cause fever, anaemia, weakness, reduced appetite, and other signs associated with destruction of red blood cells.
Prompt veterinary attention can help improve treatment outcomes and reduce the effects of disease on affected animals.

Responsible Veterinary Use
Accurate diagnosis is important because fever, anaemia, weakness, and poor appetite can have several possible causes. Annymazene Plus should be used at the recommended dosage and according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Farmers should also follow all stated precautions, administration instructions, and applicable withdrawal periods for food-producing animals. Veterinary guidance is recommended, particularly when animals show severe disease or when diagnosis is uncertain.
