Description:
Oxytocin is a nonapeptide protein hormone which is produced endogenously in the hypothalamus. Oxytocin promotes contractions of the smooth muscular tissues from the oestrogen sensitised uterus and lacteal gland.
Dosage:
By intramuscular or subcutaneous or slow intravevenous every 3-4 hours
Mares and Cows: 4-5ml
Sows: 2-4ml
Ewes and goats: 1-3ml
Withdrawal:
For meat: 1 day
For milk: 1 day
