DESCRIPTION:

Feninor 20% is a synthetic broad-spectrum antibiotic and fluorinated derivative of chloramphenicol acts by inhibiting protein synthesis at the ribosomal level. Its effectiveness against most Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria isolated from domestic animals makes it bacteriostatic in action.

INDICATIONS:

Feninor 20% Oral is indicated for preventive and therapeutic treatment of gastrointestinal and respiratory tract infections, caused by micro-organisms such as Actinobaccillus spp. Pasteurella spp. Salmonella spp.(typhoid and paratyphoid, chicken cholera, pullorum, colibacillosis,) and Streptococcus spp. in swine and poultry. Also in fish for control of mortality due to Columnaris diseases associated with Flavobacterium columnae, Pasteurella, Vibrio, staphylococcus aureus, Aeromonas hydrophila, enteritis bacteria caused by fish bacterial streptococcal septicemia, enteritis, red skin disease, and fin rot among others.

CONTRA-INDICATIONS:

The use of Feninor 20% Oral during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.

The product should not be used or stored in galvanized metal watering systems or containers. Animals with severe immune deficiency or on vaccination period are prohibited.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

For oral administration and shake well before use

Poultry: 1-1.5mls / 2L of drinking water for 3-5 days, equivalent to 100-150mg florfenicol/ L

Pigs: 1ml – 1.5mls / 2L of drinking water for 5 days, equivalent to 100mg florfenicol/ L.

Fish: 1ml to 2 litres of water for 5-10 days consecutively equivalent to 10mg per kilogram of fish.

During treatment, medicated drinking water should be the only source of drinking water and must be consumed within 24 hours. Perhaps the water intake fluctuates (increase or lower) adjust the medication concentrations accordingly.

INCOMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER DRUGS:

Do not combine with Chlorinators.

ADVERSE REACTIONS (FREQUENCY):

This product has a certain immunosuppressive effect when used above the recommended dose.

Florfenicol is embryotoxic and is used with caution in livestock during pregnancy and lactation.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:

Pigs: 20 days.

Chicken: 5 days.

Egg: 14 days.

Fish: 10days.

SPECIAL WARNING:

Animals with renal insufficiency need to reduce or extend the interval of administration.

STORAGE:

Store in a dry, dark place at a temperature below 30°C

Store in Closed packing.

Keep reach out of children.
