Combat bacterial infections in calves, lambs, kids, pigs, poultry, and rabbits with Embacolisol. This combination therapy harnesses the antimicrobial power of trimethoprim and colistin to provide broad-spectrum coverage against susceptible organisms, promoting rapid recovery and ensuring the health of young livestock.
Indications
Calves, lambs, kids, pigs, poultry, rabbits: infections caused by or associated with organisms sensitive to trimethoprim and colistin.
Dosage and Administration
Oral in drinking water or liquid feed.
Poultry:
Colistin: 75,000 IU/kg/per day;
Trimethoprim : 10 mg/kg/per day, ie: 1 – 2.5g of Embacolisol per litre of drinking water according to animal age and water consumption. Do not exceed 1 g per litre in starting birds.
Other species:
Colistin: 50,000 IU/kg/ 12 h;
Trimethoprim: 5 mg/kg/12 h ie: 1 – 1.25g of Embacolisol per 10kg of live weight twice a day, mixed in drinking water or liquid feed (without exceeding 30g per animal and per day). For 3 consecutive days.
Precautions
Severe hepatic or renal dysfunctions. Once in solution, use within 24 hrs.
Withdrawal Period
Meat: 7 days.
Egg: Do not use for layers when eggs are delivered for human consumption.
Storage
Keep in a dry place, below 30°C.
Protect from light.
