Description
INDICATIONS:
Doxy-Col wsp is indicated for the treatment of diseases such as fowl cholera, infectious coryza, chronic respiratory disease (CRD), and non-specific enteritis and for infections caused by Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria such as E. Coli, Salmonella, and Campylobacter.
CONTRA-INDICATIONS:
Do not administer to animals hypersensitive to tetracycline or polymyxins. Do not administer to animals with severely impaired liver function. Do not administer to animals with an active rumen and intestinal microbial flora. Do not use in layers producing eggs for human consumption.
SIDE EFFECTS:
Allergic and photosensitivity reactions can occur. Intestinal flora may be affected if treatment is very prolonged, and this may result in digestive disturbance.
INCOMPATIBILITY WITH OTHER DRUGS:
Do not combine with bactericidal agents like penicillins and cephalosporins.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:
For oral administration via drinking water.
Poultry: 100 g per 200-400 litres of drinking water, during 3-5 days (equivalent to 10 mg of doxycycline per kg bodyweight).
Calves: 2.5 g per 50 kg or 5 g per 100 kg bodyweight (equivalent to 10 mg of doxycycline per kg bodyweight)
Lambs, kids: 2.5 g per 50 kg bodyweight (equivalent to 10 mg of doxycycline per kg bodyweight)
Medicated drinking water or milk should be used within 24 hours.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Poultry: 7 days
Calves, lambs, kids: 14 days
STORAGE:
Store in a dry, dark place between 2 °C and 25 °C.
Store in closed packing.
Keep medicine away from children.
