Enrofloxacin belongs to the group of fluoroquinolones and acts bactericidal against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria. It is also active against mycoplasma.

Indications:

Gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by enrofloxacin sensitive micro-organisms, like Campylobacter, E. Coli, Haemophilus spp., Mycoplasma spp., Pasteurella spp., and Salmonella spp. in poultry and swine.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to quinolones.

Administration to animals with seriously impaired liver and/or renal functions.

Concurrent administration with Tetracyclines, Macrolides, Chloramphenicol, and Lincosamides.

Side effects:

Hypersensitivity reactions.

Dosage recommendations:

For oral administration through the drinking water:

Pig: 1g per 80kg body weight, equivalent to 2.5mg enrofloxacin per kg body weight

Poultry: 50 gr per 200 liter of water for 3 to 5 days

Withdrawal times:

For meat: 4 days; for eggs: 7 days

Storage conditions:

Store dark, dry and below 25°C. Do not freeze.
