Indications:
Oxytetracycline LA 20% Injection is specifically formulated to provide a prolonged action resulting in sustained antibacterial activity. After administration by the intramuscular route.
Maximum blood levels are achieved after 4 to 8 hours making Oxytetracycline LA 20% Injection suitable for the treatment of acute infections.
Oxytetracycline LA 20% Injection is indicated for the treatment of arthritis, gastrointestinal and respiratory infections caused by oxytetracycline sensitive microorganisms, like Bordetella, Campylobacter, Chlamydia, E.coli, Haemophilus, Mycoplasma, Pasteurella, Rickettsia, Salmonella, Staphylococcus and Streptococcus spp.
Target Animals:
Camels, cattle, calves, goats and sheep.
Administration and Dosage:
For intramuscular administration.
A single dose of 1 ml/ 10kg body weight is sufficient to treat minor to moderate infections caused by susceptible bacteria and other microorganisms.
Do not administer more than 15ml in camels, cattle and more than 5ml in calves, goats and sheep per same injection site.
Contra-indications:
Do not use the product in ewes producing milk for human consumption.
Do not use in animals suffering from renal or hepatic impairment.
Hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.
Withdrawal period:
Meat: 28 days.
Milk: 7 days
