Indications
Amprolium 30 is indicated for coccidiosis caused by coccidia susceptible to amprolium (Eimeria spp.) or gastrointestinal infections for which it is therapeutically or prophylactically indicated to administer amprolium in poultry, calves, goats, and sheep.
It is a coccidiostat used for the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis in poultry, calves, sheep, goats, etc. with activity against Eimeria spp., especially Eimeria tenella and Eimeria necatrix.
Contra-indications
Do not administer on hosts with impaired hepatic and/or renal functions.
Do not administer to turkeys before the age of 8 to 10 weeks.
Dosage
Poultry :
Preventive: 1g in 5 litres of drinking water for 1-2 weeks.
Curative: 1g in 2.5 litres of drinking water for 5-7 days.
Calves, sheep and goats:
Preventive: 1 g per 60 kg body weight through drinking water or milk for 21 days.
Curative: 1 g per 30 kg body weight through drinking water or milk for 5 days.
