Indications:

As a kind of Benzimidazole, ALBESTARK 2.5% has broad-spectrum action against parasites. It is effective against nematodes, cestodes, and flukes. Albenor 2.5% is not only good but effective both against adult and Immature parasites and larva, but also has the effect of killing parasite eggs.

ALBESTARK 2.5% can be used to expel Parascaris Equorum, adult and fourth-period larva of Ozyurs equi, Strongylus equines S.edentatus, S.vulgaris and D.amfieldi in horse, and adult and fourth-period larva of Ostertagia Ransom, Haemonchus, Trichostrongylus, Nematodirus, Bunostomum phlebotomy-mum, Oesophagostome and Dictyocaulus spp, adult Fasciola hepatica Linn and Moniezia taeniasis in cattle.

ALBESTARK 2.5% can also be used to control parasites in sheep, goats, and pigs and in the treatment of infections of Capillaria of cats and dogs, cat’s lung paragonimiasis, and dog’s filariasis. It is also useful in Flagellata and Cestode in poultry.

Dosage& administration:

For oral administration with single dose (per 1 kg live body weight) of 5-10 mg for horses, 10-15 mg for cattle, sheep, and goats, 5-10 mg for pigs, 25-50 mg for dogs, and 10-20 mg for poultry.

For Roundworms and Tapeworms:

Camel Horse and Pig: 5ml per 25kg body weight.

Cat and Dog: 1ml to 2ml per 2.5kg body weight.

Adverse reactions:

There is no obvious adverse effect for cattle at the recommended dose. Anorexia is found in dogs with a 50mg/kg dose twice a day.

Slight rowdiness, depression, and anorexia occurred in cats.

Precautions:

  1. ALBESTARK 2.5% should not be used in lactating cows and cows 45 days before gestation.
  2. When ALBESTARK 2.5% is used in sheep and rabbits with early gestation may cause teratogenic effects and embryotoxicity.

Withdrawal period:

Meat:14 days for cattle, 4 days for sheep and goats, 7 days for pigs, 4 days for poultry

Milk: 60 hours

Storage: Store in a dry, dark place below 30 °C.
