Indications:

VITRANOR EGG MAX WSP is a treatment of bacterial infections disease caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria affecting the respiratory, gastrointestinal tract, septicemia as well as skin condition and urogenital tract infections, such as E. Coli, salmonella bacillus, pasteuria penetrans, it is also active against mycoplasma, spirochete, and some protozoa.

-In case of deficiencies in vitamins, minerals, and trace elements.

-When changing feeding habits.

-Help animals in their recovery during convalescence.

-In addition, during antibiotic treatment.

-Larger resistance to infection.

Pharmacological Actions:

Oxytetracycline is a bacteriostatic antibiotic. It exerts its action by inhibiting the protein synthesis of the bacterial cell. Inhibition of bacterial protein synthesis results in disturbance of all functions necessary for the life of bacteria, especially cell-division, and the formation of the cell wall are impaired.

Resistance is usually plasmid-mediated. Micro-organisms that have become resistant to one tetracycline frequently exhibit resistance to the others.

The action of Neomycin is to inhibit bacteria protein synthesis via binding to 305 ribosome.

It is bactericidal with a broad spectrum of activity except against streptococci and anaerobic bacteria.

-Vitamin A is converted to retinol in the eye and is also responsible for the stability of cellular membranes.

-Vitamin D3 plays a major role in the regulation of calcium and phosphate plasma concentrations.

-Vitamin E functions as an antioxidant and free radical agent particularly for the unsaturated fatty acids in the phospholipids of cell membranes.

-Vitamin B1 acts as a co-enzyme in the breakdown of glucose and glycogen.

-Vitamin B6 is converted to pyridoxal phosphate which functions as a co-enzyme with the transaminases and decarboxylases in the metabolism of proteins and amino acids.

-Nicotinamide is converted to the essential co-enzymes Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD) and Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate (NADP).

-Vitamin B12 is required for the synthesis of nucleic acid components, synthesis of red blood cells and the metabolism of propionate.

ADVERSE REACTION (FREQUENCY):

Tetracyclines may cause renal tubular necrosis at high doses, but this is rare with recommended doses.

Dosage and Administration:

By oral administration.

Poultry: 1 g per 1.5-2 liters of drinking water for 5 days.

Calves: 10 g per calf daily in drinking water or milk for the first 7 days of life.

Lambs: 1.5 g per lamb daily in drinking water for 5 days.

Contra-Indications:

Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active ingredients. Oral administration to mature animals which have microbiological digestion in the gastro-intestinal system which is essential.
