CASSAVA GRINDING MACHINE

One of the essential pieces of equipment used in cassava processing operations (such as the creation of garri) is the cassava grater or cassava grating machine. Before fermentation, it is used to grind peeling cassava into mash. The raw material enters the grating chamber, where it is pushed through the screen by the high-speed revolving rotor and dropped into the feeding hopper or transferred to a specific location. The cassava tubers are initially sent to the top of the cassava grater for the initial grating and then dropped to the second layer for the final grating while it is in operation.

Finally, cassava mash and starch water will be separated, and starch water will be discharged directly from the bottom exit. It breaks cassava into mash form by applying extrusion force between a toothed roller and the grating component. This two-layer grating significantly raises the yield of garri and increases the breaking rate.
