ALBENDAZOLE SUSPENSION 2.5%

Albendazole Suspension is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic designed to treat and control a wide range of internal parasitic infestations in livestock and companion animals. Formulated with Albendazole, a potent benzimidazole compound, this suspension is effective against gastrointestinal parasites, lungworms, tapeworms, liver flukes, and amphistomes.

Mode of Action:

Albendazole works by selectively inhibiting the polymerization of tubulin into microtubules in the parasite’s cells, disrupting metabolic activity. This leads to energy depletion, starvation, and eventual death of the parasites.

Indications:

Albendazole Suspension is indicated for the treatment and control of:

• Roundworms (e.g. Haemonchus spp., Ostertagia spp., Nematodirus spp.)

• Lungworms (Dictyocaulus spp.)

• Tapeworms (Moniezia spp.)

• Liver flukes (Fasciola hepatica, Fasciola gigantica)

• Amphistomes (Paramphistomum spp.)

Dosage:

For Round Worms/Tapeworms

In Cattle /Buffalo/Horse/Sheep/ Goat/Camel: 5mg/kg.b.wt.

In Dog/Cat: 10-25mg/kg.b.wt

For Flukes

Cattle/Camel: 10 mg/kg.b.wt

Sheep/Goat:  7.5 mg/kg.b.wt

Drench or administer in feed.

WITHDRAWAL:

MEAT:

Sheep: 10 days

Cattle: 14 days

MILK: 3 to 5 days
