Target species: Cattle

Indications:

Treatment and control of infestations of the following external parasites on cattle:

*Ticks

Amblyomma spp (A. hebraeum, A. variegatum)

Hyalomma sp

Rhipicephalus spp

(R. (Boophilus) microplus, R. (Boophilus) decoloratus, R. appendiculatus, R. evertsi)

*Hornflies (Haematobia irritans)

*Biting lice (Damalinia bovis)

*Suckling lice (Linognathus vituli)

Contraindications: Do not use in animals producing milk for human consumption. Do not use in pregnant cows or heifers, which are intended to produce milk for human consumption, within 3 months of the expected parturition. Do not use on other animal species.

Special precautions for use:

  • External use. Do not administer by oral or injectable route.
  • Color intensity varies according to the animal hair coat color and type.
  • The interval between treatments must be of at least two months.
  • Keep out of reach of children and domestic animals. Avoid smoking, eating, or drinking during product handling.
  • Do not use an empty package.
  • Safely dispose of the empty vial (burying or incinerating).
  • Avoid contaminating water springs, such as rivers and creeks.
  • Do not store or apply close to food, beverage, medicines, and hygiene and home products.
  • Wash hands and exposed skin after use.
  • If skin contact occurs, wash immediately with soap and water. If eye exposure occurs, flush eyes immediately with water.

Adverse reactions/side effects: No undesirable effects have been identified when the product is used at the recommended dose rate.

Methods and Route of administration:

Posology: Ready for use. Administer only by topical application at the dose rate of 1 mL per 10 kg of body weight (providing 1 mg fipronil/kg b.w.).

The product should be applied by pouring along the backline in a narrow strip extending from the withers to the tailhead.

Withdrawal period: Cattle intended for human consumption must not be slaughtered within 100 days following the last treatment.

Shelf life: 36 months.

Storage conditions: Store in a dry and fresh place, protected from light.
